Why I Don’t Want to Fool You — I Want to Connect With You

I never wanted to be the magician who just fooled people.
You know the kind — all smug grin and “gotcha” energy. That’s not me.
I want to make you laugh. I want to surprise you. I want to connect.
That shift happened early for me, when I started noticing how much deeper a show could feel when it was built on honesty and connection, not just cleverness.
I’m here to honestly deceive you. And I’ll tell you that upfront.

I joke sometimes that if I wasn’t honestly deceiving you, I’d be a politician. But seriously, the honesty matters. If you’re going to believe in the illusion for a few minutes, I owe you the truth about my intention.
I don’t want you to feel outsmarted. I want you to feel wonder.
That’s why I open with warmth, stay present, and build each show around the people in the room. The trick is just the medium. The real magic is the connection.
And you know what? A lot of people come in skeptical. Arms crossed. Ready to be “meh.” But once they realize I’m not here to embarrass or trick anyone, they start leaning in. They open up. And that’s when the show starts to feel real.
It’s not about the puzzle. It’s about the people.
Magic can be cool, weird, funny, or beautiful. But the best moments are the ones that make people feel something. Not just “how did he do that” but “I didn’t expect to feel that.”
That’s the kind of show I want to do. That’s why I do what I do.
