Vendor Spotlight: NeriPhoto

I first met Neri a couple years ago while performing at a corporate event in Holland with my friend Tyler Grey. She was the photographer that night, moving through the crowd with quiet confidence and catching the kind of candid, mid-show moments you usually only wish someone had captured.

We ran into each other again this January at an event expo, and that’s when she invited me to come shoot in her studio in Holland. Fast forward a few weeks, and I’m there in front of the camera: posing, goofing off, and trying out a few new looks while Neri worked her magic behind the lens. She gave me ideas, helped me pose, but never made it feel stiff. It was chill and actually fun.

Before photography, Neri studied painting and drawing at the University of Utah (which made me smile because I’d just performed there in February). Her art background really shows. She frames people like a painter would. Her work is timeless and true to color. Building something that you will love long term.

These days, she shoots a lot of weddings, especially in West Michigan, but also in some stunning destinations. Italy, Colorado, you name it. She travels light and works fast. Her wedding work is gorgeous, but her studio portrait work has a totally different kind of electricity. That’s what I got to experience.She’s one of those photographers who understands performers. She knows how to draw you out without over-directing. She knows when to push and when to just let the moment unfold. That balance is rare.

She also knows how to work a room. Corporate events, expos, shows, whatever the pace or lighting challenge. She stays adaptable. Stays professional. And gets the shot without slowing the natural flow.
