A Stage Across Time
Wealthy Theatre opened in 1911 as Pastime Vaudette, a lively vaudeville house before becoming a movie theater. It closed in the ’70s and sat silent until neighbors rallied to restore it in 1999. Today, it’s a blank canvas you rent. Not a curated venue, but a true community theater powered by the Grand Rapids Community Media Center.

Four Walled, Community Powered
Wealthy hosts hundreds of events every year because individuals, groups, and organizations book the space. Indie concerts. Film nights from the Grand Rapids Film Society. Tuesday night screenings. Stand-up comedians, open projectors, speakers. And full disclosure: Amaze & Amuse: a Modern Day Magic Show twice a month, WonderBash and Grand Rapids Magic Fest.
Every show is run by the people, for the people.
A Space Built for Magic

With a 400 seat Peter Wege stage and a cozy 60 seat micro-cinema, the venue blends vintage charm and actual performer-ready tech. Think wood-paneled warmth, brick accents, LED aisle lighting, action-cam capability, and solid sound. It’s intimacy and impact, exactly how a magic show should feel.

Why It’s Trino’s Go-To
You rent it. You own it. The audience is yours. Friends, neighbors, real fans. Crowds that lean in, not sit back. People who WANT to watch you.
It’s one of West Michigan’s busiest four walled venues, seriously see their schedule.
The energy is personal. No missing ticket quotas, just community presence and shared experience.
Shows breathe here. The room lives. And that’s the room I want to be in.
Pst... I actually just found a really cool video showing a full walk through of the space. Check it out here
