Building Passion, Purpose, and Perseverance in Michigan’s High School Leaders

Based in Grand Rapids, Trino brings a fresh blend of magic and meaning to Michigan high schools. Students get an experience that entertains and inspires, while principals get a program built on passion, purpose, and perseverance that leaves a lasting impression.

PASSION
Passion is the fuel that pushes us to keep moving forward. Trino shares how discovering magic as a teenager gave him a reason to focus, practice, and grow, even when things around him were difficult. For students, passion is about finding that one thing that lights them up and learning to pursue it with focus and energy. Through interactive moments and personal stories, Trino shows how passion is not just excitement, it's commitment. When students discover what they are passionate about, they find the drive to keep learning, keep showing up, and keep growing. Passion makes the journey possible, even when the road isn’t easy.
PURPOSE
Purpose is the “why” behind what we do, and it gives meaning to the work we put in every day. Trino shares the story of Luc’s Light Youth Music and Arts Foundation as an example of turning pain into impact, and how purpose can guide us through even the hardest moments. For students, purpose doesn’t have to be complicated, it is simply the choice to use their gifts, time, and energy to make a difference in the lives of others. When they discover their purpose, they realize that their actions matter right now. Purpose turns ordinary effort into meaningful contribution, whether it is helping a classmate, leading a team, or starting something new that leaves the world better than they found it.
PERSEVERANCE
Perseverance is the grit that keeps us going when things don’t work out the way we hoped. Trino is open about his own failures on and off stage, and how setbacks became steps toward growth. For students, perseverance means understanding that challenges and struggles aren’t signs to quit: they are opportunities to learn and get stronger. Through stories and illusions that connect directly to this theme, Trino makes perseverance real and practical. His message also supports student mental health and well-being by showing that setbacks can be faced with hope, resilience, and courage He reminds students that leadership, growth, and change take time and effort, but they are always worth it. Perseverance is what helps students push through doubt, pick themselves back up, and keep moving toward their goals.
“Energetic, engaging, entertaining. Our staff thoroughly enjoyed having Trino perform at our company party.

“While his magic skills are incredible, the show was really tied together by his showmanship. Trino’s act is smart, fast-paced, and full of hilarious jokes. He became one of the most talked about programs for our entire year, and I plan to bring him back the next chance I get!”

LUC'S LIGHT Beauty from Broken
In 2021, my brother Luc tried to take his own life. He knew he had made a mistake and made a call for help, but he passed away in the hospital surrounded by my family at just eighteen years old. Luc was not done. Neither are we.
After Luc passed, my family and I knew we needed to do something with the brokenness we felt. Along with some incredible community members, we created Luc’s Light Youth Music and Arts Foundation to carry his name and spirit forward by giving teens access to no-cost music and art training in a safe and supportive enviroment. A year into the work, I set a personal goal: if I raised $10,000 for Luc’s Light before my birthday, I would shave my head. We hit the goal, I shaved the hair, and the momentum kept growing.
That momentum led to something bigger: we purchased a building in Paw Paw, Michigan and transformed it into the Luc’s Light Teen Center. Today, teens walk through those doors every week to discover their talents, build confidence, and find community.
What began with grief has become a space of hope, creativity, and empowerment. This is my why. I believe I have the ability to impact students right now. It has taken me time to find the best way to communicate this, but I know this is what I am supposed to be doing. That’s why I want to speak in Michigan high schools. I have something to say, and I know it will resonate with your students.
