Trino is a Grand Rapids based comedy magician, entertainer, and emcee. For eighteen years he has performed for corporate groups, private events, public shows, and pretty much every kind of room in between. He produces Amaze and Amuse, Grand Rapids’ adults only monthly magic show at Wealthy Theatre, and founded the Grand Rapids Magic Festival now in its fifth year. Trino’s comedy magic show is an interactive mix of humor, sleight of hand, and genuine audience engagement. With a perfect balance of professionalism and playfulness, his show brings colleagues and clients together for an experience they are still talking about long after the event ends.
CLOSE-UP
Close-up, roaming magic for small groups during cocktail hour or late-night mingling. Trino moves through the room, stops a group, and pulls others in with them. Strangers become an audience together. Different departments, different conversations, all sharing the same moment of wonder. Typically booked in 60 to 90 minute blocks and pairs perfectly with the full stage show.
Every great event needs someone who can hold the room between the moments that matter. Trino has spent eighteen years reading rooms, adjusting on the fly, and keeping energy up from the first introduction to the final send off. He keeps things moving, keeps things fun, and makes every transition feel intentional. He founded the Grand Rapids Magic Festival, now in its fifth year every April at Wealthy Theatre. He produces Amaze and Amuse, Grand Rapids’ adults only monthly magic show, featuring world class performers from across the country in an intimate sixty seat room where everyone is close enough to the action that the action finds them.

For corporate events, private parties, fundraisers, galas, and special occasions across Grand Rapids and West Michigan, Trino brings an experience built around the group in the room. A Kid from
Paw Paw
I grew up near Colon, Michigan, "The Magic Capital of the World". The town I actually grew up in was called Paw Paw, which is honestly a better story.... I started young. Birthday parties, block parties, busking on the street for whoever would stop and watch. I had no idea what I was building. I just knew I loved it. What kept me going wasn't one big break. It was the people. Going to conventions and watching performers I'd seen on TV become peers and mentors. People who had every reason to protect their secrets choosing to help a kid from Paw Paw instead. That generosity shaped everything about how I do this.
Michigan raised, still here by choice. My wife Ashley and I live in Grand Rapids with our two hairless cats, Cannoli and Biscotti. I produce a monthly magic show at Wealthy Theatre, and I co-founded a nonprofit in memory of my brother that gives teenagers free access to music and art lessons. I love what I do. I love people. I love breaking the ice and watching a room come alive. I'm an authentic person doing something special, and a special person doing something authentic. Grand Rapids is where all of it came together.
